Carlos Nieto-Draghi

Institution: IFP Energies Nouvelles, France

Dr Carlos Nieto-Draghi received his Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from Rovira i Virgili University under the guidance of Prof. Josep Bonet i Avalos in 2003. He was a postdoctoral fellow of the HPC-Europa programme at the University of Edinburgh with Prof. Simon Bates in 2004 and a research fellow at IFPEN in the Thermodynamic and molecular simulation department between 2004 and 2005 with Dr. Philippe Ungerer, both positions in molecular modelling on complex fluids. He received his habilitation à diriger des recherches (HDR) in Chemistry at Paris Sud University on November 2012. He is research Engineer at the Thermodynamic and molecular simulation department of IFPEN since 2006. His current research focuses on the development of multi-scale simulation approaches (Molecular Dynamics, Monte Carlo and Kinetic Monte Carlo) for the prediction of thermo-physical properties of fluids and structural properties of materials with industrial application.
